Range Qualification Scheduling

Range qualification is required for both California residents and non-residents completing the applicable CCW training process.

Range qualifications conducted by Nationwide CCW will be held in the San Fernando Valley.
This Los Angeles-area range qualification appointment is available to both California residents and non-residents who are in the area and wish to complete their required live-fire qualification in person. Please select and schedule your preferred available time slot.

Range Location Information

Nationwide CCW operates several range locations. You will be notified of the specific range location assigned to your appointment. Our ranges are generally located approximately 20 minutes from our physical classroom locations. The exact range address will be disclosed one to two days before your scheduled appointment. At that time, you will also receive instructions regarding any required range waiver, release form, or additional documentation that must be completed before your qualification.

What You Must Bring

  • You must bring and qualify with every firearm you want listed on your permit.
  • Bring 80 rounds for your first firearm.
  • Bring 25 rounds for each additional firearm.
  • Bring all required firearms, magazines, ammunition, equipment, and identification.
  • Steel ammunition and steel-core ammunition are not permitted.
These ammunition requirements generally apply to applicants qualifying for permits issued by Los Angeles County law-enforcement agencies.

Holster Requirements

A holster is not required unless your issuing agency or police department specifically requires one.

MyCCW.us and My A&P Flow Applicants Applicants whose application or qualification process is administered through MyCCW.us or My A&P Flow must bring a secure, good-quality retention holster. Without the required retention holster, you will not be able to complete the required qualification and will not receive your certificate.

Required Range Attire and Rules

  • No open-toed shoes
  • No flip-flops
  • No shorts
  • No tank tops or open shirts
  • No spectators
  • No recording devices of any kind
  • No steel ammunition
  • No steel-core ammunition
Please arrive fully prepared. Bring all required firearms, ammunition, magazines, equipment, identification, and any holster required by your issuing agency.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

All payments are non-refundable. Appointments may not be canceled or rescheduled less than 72 hours before the scheduled qualification time.

Late Arrivals If you are running late, call your training facility or instructor as soon as possible to ask whether a late arrival can be accommodated. Late admission is not guaranteed and is subject to the approval of your training facility or instructor.
